Post-Care

Microblading, powder brow and combo brow post-care is crucial

to the appearance and longevity of your new eyebrows.

This procedure causes trauma to the body and is considered an open wound.

Please adhere to the post-care instructions to avoid infection.

No water, lotion, soap, or makeup on treated area for 7 days!

*After 4 days, with clean hands, gently apply a thin layer of post-care ointment with a cotton swab. This can be done twice daily. Use the ointment sparingly as your skin needs to heal itself. Continue to apply the ointment for 7 days.

The following must be avoided during all 14 days post procedure:

  • Increased sweating

  • Practicing sports

  • Swimming

  • Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi

  • Long hot showers

  • Sleeping face down

  • Dirty Pillowcases

  • Picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment

  • Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds

  • Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles

  • Touching of the eyebrow area except for when applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab

  • Filling in the spotted areas

The following must be avoided during all 30 days post procedure:

  • Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the treatment area

  • Facials of any kind, Botox or microdermabrasion

  • Sun tanning or salon tanning

  • Exposure to UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading

  • Applying makeup or sunscreen to treated area

The color will fade approximately 30% – 50% when the scabs fall off. This is completely normal.

Do not feel discouraged if the fading is more than you expected.

The color will become darker 1-2 weeks after ALL the scabs fall off.

*A color retouch is usually necessary and can be completed 4-6 weeks from the initial appointment.
